Pascal Wehrlein Marks His 100th Formula E Race With 2026 Jeddah E-Prix Round 4 Win

Lights Out:
Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein celebrated his 100th Formula E race in perfect style, claiming victory at the 2026 Jeddah E-Prix Round 4. The German driver executed a masterclass in strategy, utilizing his ATTACK MODE and PIT BOOST to perfection to beat Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara and Jaguar’s Mitch Evans. The win vaults Wehrlein to the top of the Drivers’ Standings, while Porsche consolidates its lead in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ championships.

Attack Mode:
The deciding factor was Wehrlein’s patience. Starting third, he triggered his 50kW ATTACK MODE after his PIT BOOST stop—later than his rivals. This overcut strategy allowed him to build a decisive eight-second gap in clean air while others battled for position. It was a calculated drive that neutralized the threat from a recovering Mortara, who had slipped from pole to fifth after a wheelspin-heavy start.

Telemetry Data:
* Podium: 1. Wehrlein (Porsche), 2. Mortara (Mahindra), 3. Evans (Jaguar).
* Championship Leader: Wehrlein leads with 64 points, 16 ahead of Nick Cassidy (48 pts).
* Team Standings: Porsche Formula E Team dominates with 109 points vs Mahindra’s 59.
* Manufacturers: Porsche (125 pts) leads Jaguar (81 pts).
* Fastest Lap: Secured by Wehrlein for maximum points haul (26 total).

Team Radio:
* Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche): “It was a super, nicely executed race… I waited a bit with the PIT BOOST but also with the ATTACK MODE… I wanted that win really badly – it’s been a while.”
* Edoardo Mortara (Mahindra): “The incident at the start must have been nice for the cameras! I lost five places… It got better after! The team has done a tremendous job.”
* Mitch Evans (Jaguar): “I’m massively happy. PIT BOOST last year wasn’t really my thing, so I’ve put a massive focus into trying to make things better this year.”

Grid Position:
The victory sets the stage for a tantalizing double-header weekend, with Round 5 taking place tomorrow night under the Jeddah lights. The paddock also welcomed global stars, including Algerian singer Cheb Khaled, who experienced the circuit firsthand in the Safety Car. Meanwhile, Formula E confirmed a major calendar update: the 2026 Tokyo E-Prix will return as a night race, a first for the series in Japan.
